Organic soap is made with certified organic ingredients. That is, according to USDA and ECOCERT at least 70% of the ingredients should proceed from organic agriculture. Only certified organic products can bear the USDA and ECOCERT seals of approval. Before a pack of soap can be labeled organic, a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards.
