What are the best advice during an open call at a modeling agency to get signed?
I have been encouraged and supported by friends/family and plan on attending an open call in Miami and Atlanta later this month… I think I have a chance, but need to be unique… anyone already a model that can help out??

Make sure your skin looks as good as it can - drink tons of water and use moisturizer. Stand up straight - you’d be surprised how many girls are rejected due to poor posture. Don’t neglect your nails - keep them short with clear or neutral polish.
Wear something that shows off your body - skinny jeans, heels and a fitted top are fine. Make sure you can really walk in high heels as you will usually be made to walk back and forth a few times in front of the bookers. Also practice posing in the mirror to find your best angles as they will take Polaroids of you.
But really, it’s just about having the look they want - either you have it or you don’t. Most open calls will have anywhere from 50-200 girls, all tall and slim, and only 3-5 may be lucky enough to get a callback and 1-2 might eventually be signed.
Be careful as there are a lot of scams out there. Remember, no legitimate agency will charge you even $1 to get started. Legitimate agencies do not charge you for portfolio/comp card photography, registration fees, competitions, website listings, classes or anything else. They will cover all your expenses, and pay for it by taking a % of your earnings.
